DART Courses

DART Courses serve as a catalyst for cross-school collaboration. Held each year over the course of January term, DART courses give ten Division II students the opportunity to work together with faculty from diverse disciplines in the development of a single, large-scale artistic work.

Student Project Grants

DART offers grants to students working on Division II or Division III projects that explore the intersections of design, art and technology. Up to five grants of $500 per grant will be awarded each semester.

Student Working Group

The DART Student Working Group gives students the opportunity to develop their DART community and creative common cause through student-run programs, including: peer-to-peer presentations of works in progress; "open lab" periods for group problem-solving related to artistic, design, and technical challenges; screenings of pertinent films; and other student-initiated activities.

Campus Engaged Learning Activity (CEL-1)

Collaborate with members of the Design, Art, + Technology (DART) Student Working Group in developing and creating non-invasive, DART-oriented public art projects. Not only is this a fun and creative endeavor, the Student Group fosters informal skillshares which open up new tools and techniques for accomplishing artistic vision. Students will have the opportunity to share their own skills and learn new ones from fellow students. Because projects are student designed and directed it's not only a way to explore your creative interests, it's also a great way to develop your project leadership skills. Most importantly, this is a vehicle for bringing more art out into the campus by giving students a chance to create things together.
